Xfm can exclusively announce the names of more of the acts who’ve been confirmed to play the Wireless Festival taking place in Hyde Park, London this June, including Supergrass, The Bravery and Graham Coxon.
The four day event will take place in two parts Friday June 24 / Saturday June 25 and Wednesday June 29 / Thursday June 30, and take place in Hyde Park in London - the first time a festival themed event will have taken place there.
As previously announced New Order will kick off the event on the first Friday (June 24) followed by Basement Jaxx who headline the Saturday night party (June 25). Keane and Kasabian will then top the bill on the main stage on Wednesday June 29 and Thursday 30 June respectively.
Now Xfm can reveal that a host of new acts have been added to the bill. On Friday 24 June, The Bravery and Graham Coxon will now be appearing with New Order on the main stage, and The Dears have been added to the Xfm Stage.
On Saturday 25 June, Roots Manuva and LCD Soundsystem will be playing with headliners Basement Jaxx on the Main Stage, while Mylo will be appearing on the Xfm Stage.
Alongside Keane on the main stage on Wednesday June 29 will be Supergrass and Rufus Wainwright, and Secret Machines will be appearing on the Xfm Stage.
Finally Thursday June 30 finds Kasabian as top of the bill with Radio Soulwax presenting 2ManyDJ’s and Soulwax on the Xfm Stage.
More bands and more stages are will be announced over the coming weeks.
Tickets are on sale now priced at a very reasonable £35 a day (plus booking fee), and are available from the Credit Card Hotline on 0871 230 5468 (VIP packages: 0870 145 1210 / Accommodation packages: 0870 842 2205).
Gates for the event will open at 2pm, except on June 25 when they open at 12pm and 30,000 punters are expected to attend each day of the event.
All tickets can be purchased through O2 Active on O2 handsets and O2 customers can also benefit from purchasing tickets from March 8 2005 four days before they go on sale to the general public by texting the word FESTIVAL to an O2 shortcode 81145.
