Damon Albarn Lines Up For CND

Blur frontman and vocal supporter of all things anti war, Damon Albarn will be appearing a CND’s Protest And Survive club night in East London later this month.

Albarn, alongside Remi Kabaka will be playing a DJ set at CND’s Protest And Survive event taking place on Thursday 7 October 2004, at The Legion, 348 Old Street, London EC1.

The evening runs from 7.00pm until midnight and will include visuals from The Light Surgeons’ Chris Allen, music from Erol Alkan and speakers including former President of the International Peace Bureau Bruce Kent and Labour minister Jeremy Corbyn.

Admission to the evening is £5.00 and all funds raised will go to to CND.

Damon Albarn is currently recording the new album for his animated music project/band Gorillaz which will reportedly feature Danger Mouse, the DJ behind the Jay-Z and the Beatles mash-up ‘The Grey Album’.

The album is rumoured to be released in the spring and is set to feature a number of vocalists, including De La Soul.
