Graham Coxon’s “Spectacular” Single Released On 26 July

July 2nd, 2004 by Pete

“Spectacular”, the third single to be taken from Graham Coxon’s acclaimed top 20 album “Happiness in Magazines” is due for release on 26 July 2004.

After a full UK tour with his new band, Graham returns with this explosive single. His tour prompted the Independent to call Graham “the best guitarist of his generation” whilst the Observer simply called his live show “Brilliant!”

Of the new single, Graham says “It’s about seeing a picture of Shannyn Sossamon on the computer and just thinking ‘Good God what a beautiful woman!’ And that’s it. I suppose sonically it’s a swampy, clangy, maraca-driven frustrated sort of song of admiration. But I’m not a stalker!” he assures us.

“Spectacular” is available on 2 CDs and 7″ Single. B sides include a cover of the classic Jam song “Billy Hunt”, a storming live version of fans favourite “I Wish”, a brand new song from Graham called “Singing In The Morning”, and “Life It Sucks” (featuring Danny Goffey from Supergrass on drums), previously only available on the Japanese edition of his album, but now released here due to popular demand.
